I had additional tax withheld for hecs repayments and then my total annual income ended up being a $1000 below the repayment threshold so will be getting all of that additional tax back. Had about $600 worth of deductions.

A negatively geared property that needed major work done that we were able to claim back on tax. Plus regular charity donations we can claim back and insurances etc on the property. Plus I don't claim any CL benefits during the year, whatever payments plus supplements I am entitled to I get in one lump sum at tax time. So both of those things add up to a lvely return this year

I'm getting an iPad to help with my studies. Yay. I will take the kids out for a fun day too. The rest goes into savings.

I am very jealous of everyone using their money towards fun stuff.

We are moving at the moment ... So I'm sure it will be used to top back up the money we spent in bond, cleaning, moving, etc.

But also DP wants to do another course for his work (so he can earn more money & have more job opportunities), so I will be giving him my tax return to help fund that.

My tax return was so much less then I thought this year so nothing nice here
Payoff a higher purchase before interest free exp. huge medical bills, pay off our outstanding power bill and if there is any left over which I doubt we will save it/ put it towards our rego.
I have always been a very good budgeter but the bills are really hurting us this year.
