Regardless of whether it is law, the debate is still relevant. Pro-lifers want abortion banned. If abortion is outlawed, the option of termination is removed for everybody, regardless of their situation and age.

It is easy for a pro lifer in a comfortable middle class country to judge people and protest against abortion. It is easy for a pro lifer to make a sweeping judgement about how abortion is a convenient way to avoid responsibility. I have seen many people make such judgements.

This article presents the harsh reality of taking away choice. Without choice, a little girl's life is now at risk, through no fault of her own. Even if she survives pregnancy, she has to endure birth. And if she survives them both, she has to deal with being raped, and birthing a child as a result.

reinforces why I'm all for choice. What a horrible thing for that poor little girl to have to endure because her rights have been taken away from her. So sad

I used to be quite pro-life, but even I, as a pro-life young person without too much life experience, wouldn't have believed it okay to force a woman who fell pregnant via rape to have that baby... it's even worse that she's a child herself.

I believe myself to be pro life but I don't think even the most staunch pro life advocate can truly say that this is correct.

Not ti turn this into a religious debate but no God or higher power would ever condone rape as far as I'm concerned.

    Very sad.

That's what I'm wondering. I have seen some super-prolife type posts over time here on the hub, but none of them have commented here unfortunately.
