I think we're at the same clinic - Joondalup? If so yup theyre useless!! I only get info if I ask for it specifically and have to guess most of that since its my first cycle! And to top things off I get different answers depending which nurse I talk to! Grr thank god its FET's from here on in, they cant ***** that up surely!!

    ..the vitamin e.
And Tandi, I actually just called the acupuncturist at my clinic and left a message earlier! Will definitely look into that.

Boo to the bad clinic communication. Mine has been pretty good, however there is the odd nurse that forgets or is cold. Not nice.

    How's everyone else travelling?

EPU tomorrow. I've been reading lots about lining. I'm nervous about not transferring this cycle, if that's what they suggest. Will do what I can before transfer. (Not sure when they'll transfer, 3 or 5)

Does anyone know if they do more scans between EPU and ET? Will they be able to see if the lining has grown?

Thanks MGC and others.. Lots of good perspectives...

Wishnhope - please dont lose hope... there is no exact science to it.. And nothing that says one is better than the other, I just like to hear others' experiences...

I just posted this in the june/july forum...
There are so many angles and arguments for d3 vs d5! Personally I think I like the idea of a 5dt, something in the logic appeals to me but I can also completely understand the 3dt logic! Being a control freak I like to think I want to tell them what day I want but I think I am just going to surrender to whatever the clinic decides! The research I have read basically says there is no difference in success rates!
Like Appy said 'There is no way to do a trial with the same eggs in each environment' So who knows what factors are involved...

    Good luck to all xxx

WishnHope - yep, we're at the same clinic - lucky us! Having said that they do have good statistics & good specialists soooo if we put up with all the rest we'll get a good result anyway!

Hi, I had a similar thing - after my collection of 4 eggs, they said my lining was too thin and had to freeze the 2 that fertilised.
So I had to then go on the pill for a month to get me back on track, then started HRT - FET program (Synarel and Progynova). This seemed to thicken the lining and did a scan to show it was thick enough to do the transfer. Unfortunately I got BFN, but was able to start straight away again. BT and scan on Thurs where they will hopefully tell me I'm ready and give me the date for next transfer. I just have the one embie left so if I get another BFN of if it doesn't thaw properly then ill have to start the IVF process again.

Thanks KLM for sharing your protocol. I'll speak to my specialist today about i as i have EPU this morning. I have been on the pill for months due to my endometriosis. My other specialist who performed the laparoscopy (last Nov) wanted me to skip periods so that the bleeding didn't add to scarring. Anyway both specialists have hopefully communicated by now and will have a plan for me. I know on the phone Monday, my FS sounded pretty stumped. He said the lining is thickest during ivf due to the stimulation and did I have an aborted pregnancy that I didn't tell him about. Ummmm no.
Good luck with your final embie. I'm sure the thought of starting the process again isn't fun. Fingers crossed!!! And thanks again for sharing.
I hope he'll be able to check the lining again today before EPU.
