Default Please tell me about Sunnybank/Sunnybank Hills

Thinking about buying in the Sunnybank/Sunnybank Hills area.

I'm wondering how well served by buses the area is and whether traffic at peak hour is a nightmare (heading towards Mt Gravatt).

Are there good/bad areas to be aware of?

I'd really appreciate the insight of anyone with local knowledge of these areas.

it has plenty of busses, busses seem to be everywhere there, there is ALOT of traffic generally, personally I dread going thru there, there are traffic lights it seems every few minutes and you stop at one, then you stop at every single one.

Kessells rd, the main road you'd probably take to get to my gravatt, gets REALLY busy at times.
Buses seem to be pretty good but they mainly seem to run between Sunnybank-city and not to Mt Gravatt.
Most parts of the suburb seem pretty nice though. I haven't lived there but spent 3 years in a neighbouring suburb and spent plenty of time there at the plaza, visiting friends there etc.

I don't live in the area but I've had to go to the shopping centre and I felt so out of place. It's all Asian.

Sunnybank & surrounds are really well serviced by high frequency buses. And although most of them head towards the city, it's a simple matter of changing to a different bus once you're on the busway.

Peak hour traffic can get pretty bad, and we all know that certain drivers around those parts can be *ahem* dangerous, for want of a better word, but it's a nice enough place with plenty of variety for shops and restaurants, parks and schools.

Source: i drive the buses and have lived in the area for 15 years.

I personally find it waaayyy to busy, I can't wait to get out of there, it's stifling. Plus people just seem to cut into you when driving.
