Default Do you think it's broken?

I have DD booked into our GP tomorrow morning but I just wanted everyone's opinion. I'm so worried about my poor little girl.

Yesterday my little princess (22 months) was playing with a friends child near our swing set when he pulled the toddler swing over his head and let it drop. DD was standing right in front and her poor little nose coped the whole force of the swing. Her nose bled from the cut but not her actual nostrils. But as you can see her nose and corners of her eyes are swollen and bruised, the bruising has been getting worse throughout today hence why I have booked her into our GP.

    TIA

Thanks Minchi, she isn't complaining too much that it is sore, I have been giving her pain relief though. In saying that if you touch anywhere near it she gets really upset. I hate seeing her poor little face so swollen and black :-(

Dp and I agree it sounds like the poor darling has broken it. Hopefully it's not hurting her too bad and heals quickly.

I wasn't to concerned as I was always told that a broken nose bleeds from the nostrils and it wasn't until tonight that a good friend told me that's a myth. She is really settled sleeping in my bed with me so I think I might just wait until the morning unless she becomes unsettled tonight. Then I'll take her straight to hospital.

I would do as you're doing and wait until tomorrow. It looks pretty straight and I don't think they can do much for a broken nose anyway? My only other advice would be icing it if she will let you

Thanks Jelly, I was starting to get really worried that I was the only one that thought she would be ok until the morning.
