Video monitor. That would be the top of my list hands down.

    Best

fisher price my lil lamb swing (got it 2nd hand on gumtree) he's used it almost every day and loves going to sleep in it

tomme tippee nappy bin - got it half price on mumgo.com. I know a lot of people say they are a waste of money but we've found it great.

2.5 tog grobag - DS sleeps so well in it and it keeps him snuggly warm.

Hugabub and Baby Bjorn - both 2nd hand and both fab.

Icandy pram - expensive yes but so worth the money, its such a great pram.

worst - probably for me my bassinet, its a lovely bassinet but i spent way too much money on a bebelicious moses basket with lots of bamboo sheets and bedding and he really hasn't spent much time in it.

    Best:
    cradle swing,
love to swaddle swaddles (when little), grobags later on.
That's not my ... Books, both my kids love the textured feel of them.
Teddy bear play mat (soft fluffy mat)
Lamaze toys (captain calamari and Emily doll where DD's favorites, the knight and cube where DS' favorites)
    Tommee Tippee nappy bin
    Ergo with infant insert

    Worst:
    Baby Bjorn carrier
    Vibrating bouncer
Breast feeding cloak (it was a pain to use and I hated not being able see bub which made attachment hard in the early days)
Peanut shell, I never mastered it in a way that DD looked comfortable
    Bath seat

Cradle swing and bouncer, a bassinet for the pram ( very handy when we travelled as bubs slept in it all the time), mountain buggy triple pram ( fitted all 3 kids and everything we needed for a day out) capsule( I had 2 sprained wrists with bub 1 and it made everything so much easier) playpen( they spent hrs in this and the dogs and kids couldn't run over the baby) jolly jumper ( we took this everywhere with us as you could hang it off patios etc) and the idea high chair ,we took that everywhere with us too.

Ambybaby hammock- ds slept so well until he grew out of it.

hugabub-then the ergo- loved them. So comfy and ds loved being held. I could get so much done. I can still carry 3.5 year old ds in the ergo.

mimos pillow- when he developed a flat spot that got quite bad, this pillow worked wonders to correct it.

sophie giraffe- ds cut his first teeth at 2 months 2 weeks. He couldn't hold on to any teethers and was miserable. When we got Sophie we could tuck her under his arm and he could gnaw away at her

amber teething necklace. We thought it was a crock- but bought one as ds really struggled teething. Within days his symptoms ceased. We didn't need pain relief, dribbling stopped, acid poos stopped, he was his cheerful self.

Video monitor- meant we knew if he was dreaming/settling/ himself or if he was awake.

Breastpump. I bought a single unimom electric and then bought a second part to make it a double for only $15.

Play mat. We had one for DS1 which was a gift and he spent hours playing there. The mat got ruined when he left it outside after a picnic so for DS2 I tracked down the same one and bought it. He loves it just as much!

Loving my Manduca and wish I had it for DS1.

MCN. Saved us so much money with DS1 even after I discovered "pretties". Now using them on DS2 again.

Other than that we can get by without the latest must haves.
