Default Things you said you would never do as a parent?

So before actually being a parent, I had quite a few things I said I'd NEVER do.. Yet now do. Like co sleeping. What are the things you said you would never do before becoming a parent that you do now?

Was adamit i was never having kids now i want a third

Have them sleep in my bed lol. I failed miserably. DP & few work mates were discussing kids with the others that are soon to be first time dads one piped up n said the baby wasn't sleeping in their room or bed the rest of them laughed hysterically.

No dummy's. failed there but luckily DS refused one from 3 months & DD 10 months but she still sucks her thumb

Keep their rooms clean & tidy. Failed that too it's a jungle of toys SIL actually commented that she wanted to give her kids heaps of toys when has them & then saw how much cleaning up of toys I do & had second thoughts lol

Not yell at my kids. They have very selective hearing

    Not smack my kids

    Using a dummy.

I was adamant that none of my children would have a dummy. But then they were all really bad sleepers, so we bought an assortment of dummies and were like, "PLEASE take the Dummy!" but they all refused.

Strangely enough, my youngest has just started using one now she's nearly 2 and doesn't really need it, because she saw other babies at daycare using them. Peer group pressure, I guess lol

    Bed sharing.
Have stopped doing it now and love my space, but do miss those snuggles.

This too! Before our first was born, we were actually advised by others to just carry on with our normal lives, and have the kids fit around us.

Did it when he was little and demand feeding. Now at 27 months he just climbs in every night. I love it
