That's great progress KM....I think it's a good move moving her. Who knows what ivy will do when we get home but before we left she slept much better in her own room than with us praying kind day that baby returns ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1373599993.001555.jpg

Yes it sure is such a lovely place to stay we are very fortunate!!

So when we get home what the hell is my game plan? She is gonna be in Hawaii time and think that 430 is bedtime!! Her normal bedtime is 730 at home....

Worse she will likely wake early....as in 3am! Is it again just exposure to sunlight? Seems harder at home as there isn't any and sun is up for less time!! So I put her to bed at 430pm or make her stay up later?? Also how would I keep naps the same if she wakes at 4am, for example first nap would be 530am!!! Ahhhh it's a nightmare.

I haven't been in the situation Nic but maybe you could give Ivy a nap at 4:30, get her up after an hour then start the bed time routine, Myles actually has his last nap at 4-4:30 at the moment, its only for an hour or half an hour, but gets us through till bed time without him being over tired :-)

I fed her at 11 and she woke up at 1am and I let her cry, she settled within 10mins. She woke up two more times after that and resettled herself! Winning....

I didn't like leaving her to cry but they told me I had to unless she got really worked up.

She slept until 7.30am, i bf her and she fell asleep again. I went back to bed and slept until 10am I hadn't heard a peep from her and looked at the monitor and she was talking to herself.
Big move glad it wasn't too traumatic

You stayed at the pink palace???? Oh my!!! Now I'm totally jealous!!!!
Yes to sunlight when you are home. Try and just get her straight back into her routine like you never left. It's easier coming home as you are home and you are set up. She is used to home too., it took us 3 days both ways.
Try and not worry.. I know it's hard. She will transition and you will go on and forget all about it! Trust me! We are looking at going again cause we are stupid! Haha
I hope she behaves on the flight home!!!

A few days into the tough love approach to sleeping and it's working, Ella has only been waking a few times per night now and resettling within five mins. I really feel bad letting her cry but I had too, a sane mum is better than a sleep deprived emotional mess.
