Greb sorry to hear you've been going through a rough patch - big hugs that you get through it soon. Eliana is a cutey pie!

I have been reading back on the last few posts and don't want to sound like I'm telling you what to do but I would be very very careful adding extra water to formula. It clearly states on the tins that if don't follow the mixing amounts on the tin i.e. if you add more or less water then your baby could become seriously ill! I would definitely talk to a doctor about doing this!

It's only a problem if you add too much formula, not the other way round. I wasn't suggesting an extra 50ml of water per feed just an extra 10... I was just letting Nic know what we have been doing since we have not had an issue, my bub is thriving so the extra water has not done any damage.

Greb.. im so sorry. Do you have a good support network?
Im sorry, I cant remember if you do or not.
I agree.. can you do a bottle overnight to get some sleep?

We added a bit of water to DS bottle when we started formula with him Amy.. I agree, its the other way around thats the problem. Just add a bit more and it should be fine.

We are in Dubai and its sooooo hot! argh. We can barely do anything as the hotel we chose looks amazing, but its all open.. you walk outside a lot. its horrible.
Both babies are amazing. Ella is a champ (although very jetlaged already!) and Eli is 2 (tantrums a lot!) but still lots of fun.
NYC tomorrow - wish me luck!!!!!!!!! 13 hours of flying waking up at 5am. argh!!!!!

She just did a massive poo woohoo! Teeth are hurting her, but on the whole a lot better. She is pulling to stand and can stand alone holding onto the coffee table with just one hand while she plays with a toy in the other hand...wtf! She is only 5 months 1 week and doesn't even roll...crazy kid.

So I am at this point going to say its bit the formula....I'll just be a little slower on the solids and give her little tummy time to adjust! Also I'll keep putting extra water in the formula.

    Yay for poos!

Milk (BF or formula) is still main source of nutrition for the first 12 months so no need to rush it, her tummy might just be slow to get used to it 😃

    Yes I agree...

Not sure if I should share this or not, but I just found it and I thought its appropriate as I wrote it when Ivy was 12 weeks...on a day where I missed the old me it was to my husband. I never share my poetry as its not that good, but tonight I feel like why not!

    MY HUSBAND

What if things are never the same?
What if we never again live in the same frame?
What if I can't provide what you need?
What if the signs I cannot read?

I love my baby more than life...
But sometimes I think I'm in strife...
I miss my old self and you so much
I miss our talks and nightly touch

I want my marriage to you to be forever
I worry that I'm not as fun and things with tether
I want to cuddle and kiss you like before
I fear you will find someone to give you more

I know this sounds silly and uncalled for....
But it's been a hard day and my heart is sore
I love you so, you are my rock....
You hold my heart and have the key to the lock!

I know our life will one day return...
I know as a mother I will learn...
But for now just know I'm thinking of you
And I hope you can be patient and love me too
