Poor little guy, so will the doc try to drop them both in the first op and if he isn't able to get the other goes back at a later date? How come the chances of getting testicular cancer are increase? Lack of blood flow or something? Sorry probably a stupid question

Not to sure Nala. It's just what the stats are. I asked if it was only in the effected nutty but doc said chances are increased with both. Cause its so high he said he might only be able to bring it partially down. Then will go back in a few months later to bring it the whole way. There is a chance that it might not survive due to the blood supply being stretched. The cancer fact scares me the most but Dh and I have been through enough stress ttc to last our family for generations. Really don't want my babies to have to go through all the heartache.

Poor little guy Dragon, it's terrible he has to have an operation. My husband had advanced Testicular Cancer, it was a terrible time hence why we had to use icsi.

I think the increased risk may be because they need to be cooler, not sure but I think I read it once

I'm still finding solids hard....maybe I'll just stick to one or 2 teaspoons for now, I feel she just keeps pushing it out her mouth....sometimes she launches for it, but most the time I think she could just leave it....her tongue still seems to push it out...does that mean she is not ready or is she just refusing it as the other day she ate 2 tablespoons no probs!

On another note today I'm expressing again just to check how much she is taking...

    9am feed 180ml
    1230 feed 150ml
    4pm feed 210ml
    7pm feed 200ml

Now she normally has 2 feeds over night so I'll see what she takes. I reckon it will be 1000 ish....

Don't stress bout solids too much, milk is the important part, until 12 months food is just play, just do a little at a time until you're both comfortable :-)

Nic, we don't have too much either, don't rush if you don't feel up to it, your bubba your pace. It takes a while for them to get the hang of it and don't the need something like 10 tastes before they like something? I think that was written here somewhere.

We are still having a few teaspoons breaky, lunch and dinner. I gave him carrot today in thick sticks, steamed to see how he would go chewing, wasn't interested, likes it puréed lazy monkey!

Do you have a book to help you? Can recommend Annabel Karmel. It's still confusing though! I've got no idea what I'm doing!!

Thanks girls...I'll just take it slow...maybe this week I'll just try one teaspoon twice a day and see how that goes. I was probably trying too much too quick

Nic I agree with everyone else, milk is the most important but have you tried Apple & Pear purée? Ella loves it. Funny little people they already know what they want, she doesn't care much for veggies! Little sweet tooth, hmm just like her mum!
