Nic, we have done the same I have toddler size for night time... But he can still wet thru them too?!!

So when you guys are resettling for the day sleep, are you just tapping them in bed? If they start the heavy crying do you pick up and rock or continue patting? I succeeded twice by going in at 30mins and patting him and he did another cycle, but since then when I go in at 30mins he still wakes 10mins later. This went on for a few days and have stopped since my bad day earlier this week. I'm not sure whether to just stick with 3-4 40mins naps during the day or not...

Nala where is your mothers group located? My sister also said I could join hers, I'm not sure what to do. I feel like I'm in high school again with these comments this person has been making. I think I'll go next week and be prepared to shut her down if she starts again.

I have tried to resettle, doesn't work for us, Ella is a light sleeper and wakes. Ella has always only slept one sleep cycle at a time during the day usually 40mins.

I have noticed when she is tired she will sleep for 1-2hrs. I'm wondering if she is not really all that tired when she only sleeps one cycle.

Her awake time is also extending, her awake time lasted only 1.5hrs between naps and now she is stretching that to 2-2.5hrs before sleep.

I actually think it is better being awake for longer periods because her sleep this week seems to be lasting longer as well.

Ella doesn't really do more than one sleep cycle either!
I leave her sometimes and she goes back to sleep (rarely!) but if she sees me she is awake for sure!

She has slept through since I came back from qld.. What's that, about 2 months?? And woke for a feed at 2.30am. Hope it's not regular!! Was just getting back to normal
Dh is up in 2 hours for work.. Crap!

Any one found that their baby is constipated? Ella screams and the lets an almighty gas bomb of putridness go! She hasn't done a poop for a week or so. Stopped rice cereal yesterday, think it may be that???

Adden I was just coming in to say the same about Braydon though we're only 3 days with out poos. Poor little guy is straining away. Stopped the rice cereal too and stepping up the pears. I think too many veggies can block them up a bit too? No idea lol

Nala I'm working towards 2 hours in the morning, a cat nap around midday and 2 hours in the afternoon. Orlando rarely gets settled with me just tapping him because he thinks its playtime! I either go in and put his dummy in and walk out. If its not working I'll 99% of the time pick him up to resettle.

I tried going a day and letting him cat nap in the morning and then have that longer sleep in the afternoon but he was cranky and could tell he needed the longer sleep so I need to persevere!

I've got this book called food babies love and it says that rice cereal can make babies constipated and to try adding some pear in with it which apparently gets things moving!

For sure food would block them up and will take time for them to adjust. We're still going ok with number 2s...usually 1 every 1-1.5 days roughly

Yeah, I gave her rice cereal with fruit since starting solids.. I remember ds being the same so didn't want a repeat! I think she is just so tiny that her gut can't cope as well. Poor little things!!!!
