Yeah, I do think it is worth counselling...your IVF clinic will have someone who specialises and they can really help him. It does threaten their manhood...and sometimes their friends can say really awful things without knowing how it really feels (one of DH;s friends made the hugely funny joke of "what's up mate...can't knock her up properly, I should give you some lessons"...we don't really talk to him any more).

Just try and be understanding and remind him how much you love each other and that your love for each other is why you want to make a baby together. Let him know that you look at him and you love him so much that you want to carry his baby and that you want to see him in that child because he has so many wonderful traits.

I know you need support too...but, just for a little while let it be about him and what he needs and once you are preggy he can wait on you hand and foot and head out to the servo in the middle of the night in the rain to get what ever it is you are craving

MKG How come you transferred two? Sorry just curious as I was in two minds the whole time about transferring two but went with one due to the high possibility of getting multiples. My clinic was going to make me sign a waiver ect to get two transferred so i just went with one and froze my other 4.

Good Luck BTW, make sure you rest for a couple of days to let embies settle in. How's DH's behaviour being the last couple of days?

Sharlee32, I had originally signed for 1 to be transferred but a few things made me change my mind, the main thing being my age. I'll be 42 towards the end of this year (a young 42 may I add!!) and so the time factor really is key to me for pregnancy. I would also, rather selfishly, like to have 2 children and, again due to age, would only realistically manage that if I did get a multiple pregnancy. I was also told at that point that the 2 remaining embryos weren't that advanced so probably not worth freezing though they'd give them a couple more days....I thought freezing one was risky as not all survive the thaw.

It was quite funny as I asked once I was inside the treatment room as it was only at that point when they told me the status of the embryos...the specialist was fine (mine was holiday so it was the first time we'd spoken so probably made it easier), warned me of the possibliity of multiples, and agreed to do it providing a signed the change on the paperwork, so there I was, legs akimbo, signing the form!

So 1 x expanded blast and 1 x blast transferred :-) Also heard this arvo that a 3rd embie has come on leaps and bounds and is now a hatching blast so can be frozen!

Yes, relaxing today and back to work tomorrow but will take it very easy!

DH is sorting himself out slowly but, as needed to be calm and serene, tool my friend we me instead!

How are things with you, any vibes towards a + or a - ? I keep getting ab twinges which I'msure is psychosomatic or because my just mending ovaries have been tweaked again!!!!

That is good I wouldn't mind twins but the thought of 3 or 4 freaked me out a bit sorry for being nosy I was just curious. They did the same thing with me updated me on my embies when I was in the transfer room half naked LOL. You do seem to lose all dignity during IVF.

Glad to hear DH is feeling a bit better. Our issue is also male fertility related but my hubby has being very supportive he even wanted to come to transfer with me as I was going to take my Mum but he wanted to come so that was nice. He told me yesterday that a work collegue had a dig at him re his fertility but he said he wasn't worried about it. Sometimes we forget that this process can be just as hard on the male.

I did a sneaky HPT today 8dp5dt and there was a faint second line on the test so I was pretty rapt about that. BT is set for Thursday so hopefully we get good results from that. Either way I have tried to remian optimistic that at least I have my 4 little frosties as back ups. I don't think I could handle another full stim cycle. I have never felt so fat in my life I actually put on 16 kg of fluid just prior to EPU I thought I was going to blow up.

Well I will cross my fingers and toes for you and your two who are now on board.
