Default 19 Week Scan - gender prediction

Today my husband and I went to our19 week scan which was very detailed. We'd asked to know the sex. At the end of the scan the technician said that she had thought it was a girl all along. She had another look and pointed out where three lines were, and confirmed that this is what she was looking for to determine weather it was a girl. She went on to say that she couldn't be 100% sure. We are so excited and I am so desperate to tell the world, but hubby wants to wait another 3 weeks when our obstetrician (who last week said she was leaning towards boy, but then said she wasn't confident, baby wasn't in a very good position) will hopefully do another scan to confirm. I'm just wondering if anyone was ever told for certain what gender their baby was? How confident did your specialist have to be before you were convinced?

I had 3 different sonographers all say boy, I was convinced after the first one though, and the others were just a bonus for me!

We were told 75% (i think) chance girl - so just told people we weren't sure what the sex was and made everyone wait until SHE was born!

With my first we were told at 22wks a girl but they said they couldnt be 100% sure. So we told everyone that we didnt know for sure and we ended up having a girl. And with this one at 20wks we were told a boy but we saw for ourselves before the sonographer even asked if we wanted to know... and have had four different US (done for other reasons) that have confirmed it each time. If he comes out a girl i think alot of ppl will be shocked not just us lol.

We got pages of scans of all sorts of things, hearts, kidneys, brains and so on. If we do have one of the privates, I wouldn't have a clue which one it is haha. We did get a bonus 3d one of the body/face which was unexpected and very kool.
