Default Can anyone recommend a good IVF clinic in Perth

Hi, My partner and I are soon moving to Perth (living north of the river) and its almost time to start going down the IVF path. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good IVF clinic and which doctor you saw? Your comments are appreciated

Im at Fert North too, good and experiences so far. Keep in mind that have Fert North have a lot of patients atm so waiting lists are quiet long and they're the only clinic in Perth to have compulsory counselling.

I spent 2 1/2 years at Hollywood and became increasingly frustrated by the "keep going and eventually it will work approach". After recommendations on bubhub I went on the waiting list to see Dr Hart at fertility specialists WA. In the meantime I kept cycling at Hollywood, and have finally got a BFP. Just after my BFP, my appointment at new clinic came up and I still went because I was terrified I would lose the pregnancy... New FS gave us a completely opposite opinion as to why we'd not been successful (he said issue of egg quality, when Hollywood said sperm issue). I will say that they intended to send us for far more testing than Hollywood offered, and also suggested we have our embryos tested for genetic viability before transferring.

at the end of the day, I'd say any of the clinics in Perth are probably a good place to start (you will hear of good and bad stories for all of them), but then if you aren't successful (hopefully will prove not to be an issue for you) and you aren't getting answers, do not hesitate to go elsewhere for another opinion.

    good luck

Congrats on your long awaited BFP!! Thanks for the info, I have already been pretty extensively checked out in Brisbane and I have been diagnosed with mild endo. My egg quality is ok, not amazing but could be a lot worse. My partner has above average sperm, so we already know the problem is me...unless a fertilisation issue. I have read stories that people have started ICSI/IVF and then later checked for things like endo, PCOS, egg reserve etc. once ICSI/IVF was unsuccessful. I thought they would check for these things before going down the expensive IVF path....I am surprised that its not standard protocol.

You would think it would be standard to check everything out first wouldn't you? ...that certainly has not been my experience! Might sound silly, but especially since you've already had tests done, I'd start with the clinic that is most convenient o get to, and then make sure you feel comfortable with the staff. You will most likely have to make lots of early morning trips there, and it's best if you feel comfortable with the people who will be constantly looking at your bits!

I'm at Fertility North and have the found the staff to all be lovely. Just had my FET today so in the dreaded 2ww now. I have already had 1 baby through this clinic so worked for me. Fingers crossed number 2 is settling in as we speak!! Good luck with wherever you choose and I hope you soon have a little bubba.

I'm with Pivet (in Leederville) and definitely no complaints so far - they've been very thorough and everyone has been very friendly and welcoming.

About to start injections later this week for our first IVF/ICSI cycle
