With somethings I have but that is usually only things that I have felt guilty for, such as bottle feeding and choosing to have a csection as well as many others that I can't remember off the top of my head. I felt guilty and like a horrible mother everyday but then after reading some wonderful posts on here I don't feel so bad about myself anymore.

I can't think of any examples off the top of my head but there have been many instances where my opinion has been challenged and I've had a lightbulb moment and realised I was incorrect. I like to keep an open mind, although I feel there are a few areas in which I'm pretty knowledgeable and I'm pretty happy/confident with my view.

This - I haven't changed my mind on things, but I have been forced to think about things more because of BH. In the old days I wouldn't have thought much about RIC, I was kind of against it, but after being on here - I am totally against it.

hi, there was a debate/ thread about feminism years ago, and that changed my mind /opened my mind about it. I had very little knowledge, and had formed my opinion on that, when I received more knowledge, I changed my opinion. Im 56 yrs old, I have certain opinions that are set in stone, but I remain open to continue learning and increasing my understanding of life. bubhub is excellent for sharing. Marie.

Anyone else think that the word "research" is bandied out about the hub a little too freely? I read a website on how the baddies are trying to control the world with vaccines the other day...can I claim that as research?

I think that thanks to bub hub I am certainly far more empathetic to the struggles and emotional effects some women experience with breastfeeding. And also just generally, with the impact birth can have, that kind of stuff.

I'm also careful not to give my children horse carrots in public, as prior to being a bub hub member I hadn't realised that horse carrots are inappropriate, and even cruel, to feed children.

I know everything there is to know about everything and nothing surrounding the everything I know everything about will ever evolve or change. Like, ever.

    Said no intelligent person. Ever.

Some of my views have moderated, some of them have become more vehement. I know have views on things I didn't ever think I would have views on.

I have also come to have a much deeper understanding of the views of (some) people I disagree with. We are unlikely to ever agree on certain things but I understand how they have come to their views and the basis for their position. So I respect their views even if I don't share them.

    So that's a "yes"? Gotcha.

There are many issues I feel strongly about, and my views can be quite firmly entrenched. But I acknowledge that it's entirely possible for me to be presented with new information at some point that will compel me to change my views.

The world spins, societies change, and science challenges our definition of "knowledge" every day. To ignore that is to embrace ignorance.
