I just made pumpkin pie from scratch (well with Sweetened condensed milk as an ingredient so it's not totally from scratch)
It's really nice. I adapted a pie base recipe that worked out good and super easy too.
It was just 1.5 cup flour, 1/2 cup soften butter/marg, 2 tablespoons milk, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt. Rub it together with your fingers and the just press it into the pie dish. And pre-cook it for about 15 minutes at 180 before putting in whatever filling. Too easy.
