Wishnhope - hopefully they don't cancel transfer this cycle. I hope you're feeling ok with the OHSS.

Question for you ladies in the 2WW - I know recommendations are generally to rest after transfer, avoid overheating, etc, but what about food? Are you supposed to "eat like you're pregnant" (i.e. avoiding fish, soft cheeses and all that) up until your final BT??

Arlais.... yes, after transfer you are supposed to watch what you eat. It's mostly about avoiding bacteria (e.g. all those yummy cheese) and getting sick from things, so while you shouldn't eat honey king prawns from the local Chinese restaurant, it's perfectly fine to buy fresh prawns and cook them at home yourself. Especially avoid reheated food or food that's sat around too long (e.g. at buffets or in those pie warmers). There's alot of misconceptions about what you can or can't eat, but so long as it's freshly cooked, it's pretty OK.

Leash... great egg collection numbers. Sound like they were mostly, if not, all mature. That's great.

Wishnhope.... there was a poor lady in the day hospital this morning with OHSS. She was in such pain. I had lots of pain straight afterwards, the worst I've ever had, but with some painkillers, it finally subsided, so all good.

AFM.... EPU went well today - FS collected 7 eggs, of which 5 were mature and could be injected. DH did a sperm sample, but no surprises, nothing useable in there, so they used the anon donor sperm. I particularly quizzed the scientist on this, and she said that they choose the sperm with big heads and moving furiously. I knew that that was the case, but it's always reassuring to hear that they did do that:-) Double checked with the FS and I am going to use both the progesterone pessaries (morning and night), as well as the Prgenyl injections every three days, in order to keep AF at bay. So everything is going really well - I'm a little excited, as the result of having 5 injected with sperm is more than the last 4 cycles put together!!
