Francesthecat... congrats on being PUPO!! That's one hurdle out of the way!! Thta's great that this cycle seemed much more hopeful. What were your numbers in the end frozen?

Milly... those are absolutely numbers we all dream of. Wow - congratulations :-))

Emzy.... dream numbers for you too - 13 fertilised. It gives me hope that maybe we might have more luck with this cycle. I'm doing the Antagonist cycle, sticking with Menopur, but it's been increased to 450 each day. So far I've only had three injections, so I don't feel anything yet, but keep thinking that I should. I always stress out that DH isn't doing it right, and that the medicine isn't going into my body, but since this is my 5th cycle I should know by now that he is doing it right!!

I hope the BT comes in with strong numbers for you! ET is Wednesday for me, not sure what time yet. We'll get a call tomorrow to update us on our 6 fertilised eggs and they might be able to give us a time then. I really hope we've still got all 6 or in the very least 4 or 5 of them. This part is nerve-wracking!

I feel heaps better, still sore and a little tired so trying to take it easy.

    That's awesome news!! Well done!

This cycle we used Menapour and the melatonin and has by given us the best numbers. So much more hopeful than other cycles.
Glad you're feeling positive - congrats on being PUPO! Imagine if both embies were successful, you'll have your hands full!

Hi Littledragon, Im not sure what testing they did but I know it has something to do with your blood coagulation. If you ask your IVF nurses they should be able to direct you to a good blood specialist within their IVF unit..good luck, I hope its all fine for you...keep me posted

    Hi Ladies
I'm new here and my first post in the IVF section. I've read the last few pages and some of it makes sense but some of the lingo is a little confusing haha.

I am currently doing my first cycle of IVF. I had my embryo transferred on Friday so am now in the waiting game. I am using Crinone (yuk) and I've had a constant headache since I started it.

I have a little boy conceived easily naturally who turns 2 tomorrow. We started trying for our second child 18 months ago with no luck. All tests have revealed that we are both completely normal and everything functioning like the textbooks say. So our difficulty this time around is a bit of a mystery. Our options were keep trying or give IVF a go... so thats what we have done as the strain of 18 months disappointment (19 cycles) was really taking its toll.

A question - my temp at transfer was 37.1. I was asked if I feel well and that this was a little high. I felt fine except for the headache from the Crinone. They said to keep an eye on my temp and to take it easy. I've noticed that my temp in the morning is in the 36's but goes up throughout the day and usually peaks at about 37.6 before going down again at night. I do sometimes feel a little flushed but am not sick. My DH is a doctor and he checked me and I am not sick or fighting anything (I NEVER get sick).

Have any of you experienced this and sometimes I feel like it might be the Crinone gel that gives me headaches and makes me feel hotter than normal. I am worried this will affect implantation

Also - for those of you who do HPT before their scheduled blood tests (I like to POAS and can deal with a negative), what day post transfer can you get an early positive. I understand the pregnyl shot leaves a trace - so I did a dummy test today to check and indeed there was a very faint line on the FR test so it hasn't left my system yet.

Milly888... I've only just started injections a couple of nights ago, so they haven't yet said when EPU would be. But, by my calculations I'm thinking sometime near Fri 19 July. IVFA only does EPU on Mon, Wed, Fri, so if it's not that Fri, then it would probably be the Mon 22 July.

Mumsical....definitely all the IVF drugs makes us all feel weird in so many ways. They do say that after transfer you should definitely not get overly heated, e.g. no baths, no electric blankets on your bed, that kind of thing, so perhaps keep an eye on it.

Mumsical I hear you about the crinone gel. I am not sure about temp's as I don't take mine and never have but I can certainly emphasise with the headaches. The crinone for me has being the worst symptons wise - sore boobs, aches and pains in my lower abdomen area and some mood swings.

HPT wise I would wait until at least 8 to 9 dpt for a 5 day transfer, any earlier and it is really just a waste of the test (in my opinion) I did one earlier and got a negative but at 8 dp there was a faint poitive. Everyone differs if you read back you will see one lady had negatives both times she tested then had a positive blood test. I think the thing to keep in mind is that it is so very early and some ladies HCG levels rise more slowly than others so the HCG may take longer to detect. I have also heard that first response is one of the better brands for testing in the earlier days. Did you get a 5 day transferred or a 3 day and did you transfer one or two back? The reason I ask as this also affects the day you might like to do a HPT...You would need to add a couple of days on if it was a 3 dt. If you transferred two and there is two babies your HCG levels should be higher which could result in an earlier positive than the days I gave you.

    Good luck with everything

Best of luck mumsical! I have a similar history, with no diagnosed issue, but conception just hasnt happened. Whatever our unknown issue is, hopefully IVF overcomes it. When do you blood test?
