Why not just block them and pretend you don't have Facebook anymore? Or delete them and tell them (if they ask) why exactly you delete them.

If I ever have someone that I feel the need to restrict, I just delete them. It's so ridiculous, you either care for/about them or you don't.

    .
I have a lot of ppl on restricted. I may be friends with them in a certain way but don't want them seeing all of what I'm up to. I think it's less harsh than deleting in a sense that you can still have a link. Some restricted ppl can see my photos etc, but not posts.

    Thank you!

PS. So anyone on the restricted list can't see my posts, just my basic profile? I have nothing on 'public', everything is on 'friends' so does that mean they'll see nothing?
    Yep that's right.
You can also double check by going into privacy settings and clicking on "view profile as" you can type in anyone you are friends with and see how they see your profile.

Yeah I have different lists for different purposes, but to have someone on your friends list who can only see the posts that you post to 'public' just seems pointless.
