    Default My latest project

Hi everyone - I'm dying to show off my latest project. It's a present for a friend who is having a bub. ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1371895444.353584.jpg

Love love love! Great design as it won't be too babyish for the child as they get older.
I've never tried quilting, but we went through Pennsylvania on a US holiday a couple of years ago and spent like 2 days solid visiting quilt shops on Amish farms. I ended up buying two (king size, paid a fortune to freight them home!). So now whenever I meet a quilter I am super-impressed!

Nope only use my sewing machine. It's a basic jenamie nothing fancy - but seems to do the job ok

Oh you've inspired me I was wanting to make a quilt for my friends for their wedding, but I was scared it would be too hard. But that looks great! How long did it take you? I'm hoping to get a couple of practice ones done, and then the wedding present, for next February. Doable?

That one took me about 3 days over 2 weekends. I bought a kit one from spotlight to do first.

i made a few mistakes on it but was a good to learn.

The patchwork it's self is not too hard - I'm slowly getting more accurate. The actual quilting itself a bit harder. I'm doing VERY simple patterns while I learn.

I think I've improved tenfold from my first quilt to this one. I think with some practice you could certainly master it by february
