Have taken ds to bubs in arms a few times when he was younger than one but took him today to his first real movie despicable me 2 and he sat still and quiet for a full 2 hours. He is 2.5 so I was very impressed haha. Will probably take him to mobsters uni next week.

On a side note I feel like its inappropriate for kids over the age of 2 to be going to the bubs in arms type movie sessions because they are showing all adult movies that are far to graphic and violent for kids but when I went there were 4-5 years in there that knew perfectly well what was going k. In the movie....

I took my niece to see Tangled and gnomeo and juliet, she was 18 months old. She loved it and sat there the whole time

My mum just recently took my niece (3.5) and DS (20months) to see the Croods and again they both loved it and watched the whole thing. Apparently DS got a bit antsy towards the end and climbed off the seat a couple of times but I think he just needed to stretch his legs..after that he was fine again

I should also mention that my DS never keeps still and especially in a new environment I thought he might go rank but turns out he was so fascinated he sat there and watched most of the movie without his bum leaving the chair

We've been taking DD pretty regularly since she was about 3. I find as long as we do a toilet stop during the previews she normally sits through the whole movie.

I took DD at 3 to see The Muppets. She isn't one to keep still, so it was a bit of a disaster!

We are taking her to see Monsters University today as a treat. She's 4 now. Fingers crossed her concentration has improved!

Ds1 has been to one movie. It was ice age 4 and he was 4.5yo. We are thinking of taking him to see epic soon tho.

At our local cinema they have 60 minute kids movies (like Dora or Thomas or Angelina ballerina etc) . So i take our 2 year old dd to them because that's about the Max time she can sit stil for. It's also only $7 for both of us to go because it's not a "real movie " iynwim.

Last year ds1 and I saw Ice Age 4. He was 6. He loved it.

Haven't even bothered trying with ds2, who is 4. Maybe next year for him.

Can't remember, maybe 2 or 3? Not a fan of the movies myself, prefer to watch DVD movies at home, but we go when it's a good movie.
