Oh Im so sorry to hear about your horse ponytail Animals really do become part of the family so I understand. My cat (who was my BABY) disappeared about 2 months ago and I still miss him every day. I cried every night when he didnt come home for weeks.

Ponytail, I'm so sorry about your horse. Pets are part of the family and it is devastating when you lose them.

Toni, previously I would have been against induction, but I've read a lot of positive stories of people who were induced, so I'm less concerned about it now. I would prefer labour to start naturally, but if that doesn't happen, then I'm fine with that.

I would have preferred natural, the only thing I disliked was that I couldn't shower other than that it was a great labour. I hope your bub decides to arrive before your induction date.

Ponytail- so sorry to hear about your horse. Pets really do become part of the family and it is devastating when they pass.

Smurfy- Sorry you’re suffering with insomnia. It’s horrid! My last three nights have been ok but know it’s not long before it rears its ugly head again! Hope your OB appointment goes well tomorrow. Induction can work really well for some so hope if you chose that route it goes smoothly.

Miss Faery- glad your classes went well. I am also going through a birthing centre program for my VBAC and they are so much more supportive of natural birth and minimal intervention.

NicT- congratulations on yourpregnancy! Nice to have you here and share in your journey.

Rainbow- wow that’s a lot of nappies! Lovely colours. Can’t believe you’re 23 weeks already!

Toni- glad the medicine is helping River. Nothing worse then when you know they’re suffering.

Sage- hypnobirthing is good thanks! Feel like I know what to do now and the practice now is just going through the motions. No idea how I’ll feel and what I’ll use when the time comes though. I may not want DH’s help and just prefer to do the visualisations on my own. Time will tell! I really trust in the methods and sure no matter what the outcome it’ll help me stay relaxed.

Channy- hope all goes well for your announcement on Tuesday! Red mucus must have been worrying. I still had bleeding at the stage you’re at and its so worrying. But sounds like all is well.

Kelly- good luck for your interview this week. What line of workare you in?

MissXamA- Glad to hear the renos are complete! Must be a great feeling.

Waiting- glad your well and had a good week away.

    Hi to everyone else!

AFM- Mum arrived yesterday afternoon and we’ve all been enjoying spending time together. Toby needed no adjustment to her arrival and is currently sat reading books with her. That’s the beauty of skype- they see each other regularly so he doesn’t forget what she looks like! Lookingf orward to her help in the coming few weeks.

On the baby front I am now 38 weeks and no other word can describe me than ‘uncomfortable’! Everything aches and sitting is not relaxing as I can never get comfortable. Sleeping is the same! I really was not like this with Toby…so much worse this time. Baby is very active which is great but she usually moves when I am trying to rest and digs her little feet into my ribs or head into my cervix!

I am now using a pump to express colostrum as I am getting too much for the syringe. Hope its helping prepare my body for labour. Getting to about 8.5 cm with my Epi No but its really quite uncomfortable! The 10 mins pelvic floor exercise and 10 mins perineal stretching per day are not my favourite time!

So now I am just waiting and enjoying spending time with my family until she arrives. My midwife will give me a stretch and sweep 2 weeks tomorrow to see if it moves things along. This is the most intervention I will allow as long as bub stays happy in there. Even though it’ll be a bit inconvenient I am not consenting to any other interventions unless the baby is in distress. Even past 42 weeks. Digging my heels in this time! It’s a due date not an expiration date after all.

Hi all just a quick update nothing happening on the baby front. Just been keeping my self busy with cuddle time with dd and ds. We been watching DVDs yesterday. Today my parents visited and also a friend. So I'm still here not at the hospital or in labour like I would like 2be.
Going out with DH tonight to a movie so better be off to get ready.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend. Will be doing lots of reading 2morrow as well as trying to entertain ds.

Miss X glad to hear renos are over. Have fun getting the nursery prepared

Waiting good for you sewing for bubs, I'm so not crafty at all

Ponytail sorry for your loss. It's so hard losing a pet, they are family

Bond cannot believe you are 38w already. Glad you are enjoying your mums company, it will be nice to have her help. I hope you get the birth you want, you have done all you can

Lil Smurfy - will your ob do a stretch and sweep tomorrow? I was worried about induction but bubs ended up coming naturally the night before I was to be induced. Either way, your baby will be here soon. Rest up!

Looney enjoy date night with DH!

Hi everyone else. Hope you're all going well!

Bond, enjoy your family time. Not long til you're due. Sounds like the birth preparation is going well.

Loony, enjoy your night at the movies. Maybe your waters will break while you're there.

Maybee, I'm not sure about whether she'll do a stretch and sweep tomorrow. I haven't seen my ob since 37 weeks (saw a fill in for 3 weeks), so not sure what she has planned. When she booked in this appointment, she just said she didn't want me to go past 41 weeks and would want to book in an induction if I made it to this appointment.

I'm so sorry for your loss Ponytail xx

Lil Smurfy, I can't remember if it was you or not a few weeks ago that said that you were already leaking milk? Did it stop?
Last week I started to leak a little and when I took my bra off, I had a little stain (sorry if that is TMI?)
I just wondered if I should start catching that? I am only 33 weeks and doesn't seem to be a whole heap?

MissX, I was slightly concerned because I wasn't leaking milk. I think it was Rainbow that was. I wouldn't worry about catching it just yet. Maybe when you're a few weeks closer.

Bond has been expressing, so she might be able to give you more advice
