AFM - first OBs apt this morning and he's so excited we're having twins. It's cute. He says since they're in the same placenta and I had a c-section with DD that I'll be having another. Kinda bummed but I was prepared for that. He said if they were fraternal we would just see how it goes. He said the goal was to make it to 38 weeks and see how we go from there in regards to setting a date. He's happy with the way they're progressing so that's good. The other good thing is that because they want to keep a good eye on these two that I get lots of ultrasounds. Yay! He also gave me some meds for the terrible MS I've been having and I can't wait for those to kick in. He said, if all you can eat and keep down is McDonalds, then do it. Which is good because sometimes the only thing that settles my stomach is french fries. So, overall a good apt.
Glad appt went well and yay for lots of scans.

Squiggs- Glad you had a good appointment with the Ob and got the ondansetron. The injectable one sounds good, I have the tablets but didn’t find it worked very well! It sucks you have to have another C-section. Is that not negotiable at all or does the shared placenta make it too risky?

MCB- I’m excited to hear what you’re having, boy or girl, and hope it all went well at the scan.

Smurfy- Nice bump pic! It’s so hard now knowing when it’s going to happen isn’t it! I am so keen to not go overdue this time that anytime from 38 weeks when mum arrives is fine by me. Thanks for your kind wishes re. my last day and my fall.

Hi to everyone else! Can only read back a couple of pages as having internet issues! So apologies if i’ve missed anything important you’ve said.

AFM- well today is my last day at work....and only just over an hour left as asked DH to pick me up at 4:30. I have finished all my work and now just killing time! It’s such a weird feeling thinking I won’t be working for a while now.

I had my midwife visit me at home yesterday to check my fundal height, after it came up small last week. It has grown, now 33cm at 35 wks so she said that was fine and I don’t need the growth scan. I was worried as she’s head down but curled around. But my midwife reassured me that it’s a good position and she’s lying to the left which is preferable to the right for birthing. So I should just stop worrying now!

I am also fine after my fall on Weds night. Just got a big bruise and soreness to the top of my thigh. I think I was very lucky as I went down so hard that if I had hit my tummy it really would have given baby a shock and potentially caused some issues. But my butt saved us all! Lol

It’s also my 5th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Can’t do much to celebrate as we don’t have a babysitter. But will go out when mum arrives in two weeks for a quiet dinner, and do a family lunch tomorrow instead to celebrate.

Hope everyone has a good Friday night, and great weekend!

Bond, that's great about your midwife appointment. I'm glad your fundal height has increased and you don't need a scan. Not long to go til you finish up work. It is exciting and strange at the same time. Happy Anniversary for tomorrow.

Bond - so glad to hear you're ok and your midwife apt went well. It's non-negotiable because I had a previous c-section and also because they share the same placenta. I asked if I could at least go into labor and he said we'll have to see how the pregnancy goes. Which is fair enough. If I can't have the birth I want I'd at least like to be able to have the feeling of starting labor. But we'll see. Whatever gets them out the safest.

MCB - where the hell are you with the gender info!?! We're waiting!!

    Yay mcb a girl! Congrats.

    Lilsmurfy you look gorgeous!

Squiggs very exciting re the twins. Fingers crossed all goes well. I am likely to need a c sect with future preg but would love to go into labor naturally again and have a go. Can understand you wanting it but safety of you and bubs is the most important thing.

Bond your midwife sounds awesome makes me want to do a midwife program next time.

J - i am in Melb also, from
The south east. I think button or maybe was as well. Can't remember which. Not sure if there is anyone else.

Loony hope holidays are going well with your two little cherubs.

Pony and channy, your preg seem to be going quick to me.

    Wave everyone else

Okay best go little man needs a feed

    :-)
