So cranky, most of the midwives/nurses here are great but I had one yesterday afternoon who I really didn't like. she was rough with River and not pleasant. She did the first feed with me and I called for assistance about 1.5hrs later because I thought River was hungry again and was told she had had enough to eat. So 2 sleepless nights in and my nurse is saying if I can't express some more I will need to do formula top up they believe she is still hungry. I have great supply but was so unsure after the first nurse that I was only expressing so much. Poor River

Great birth story Toni!!! I've heard that on your back is the worst way to labour as you don't have gravity helping out

J, Lucy is gorgeous!!!! Cluck cluck!

Toni, I'm sorry the midwife made you doubt yourself. I'm sure river is getting plenty. Their stomachs are the size of a marble at that age so they don't need much, but feed frequently, as you know. She shouldn't have made you feel as though your supply is inadequate especially if your milk hasn't even come in yet!

Lovely pics of Lucy, J! Thanks for sharing.

MCB- sorry you've not slept well!

Toni- great birth story, sounds like it all happened quite quickly for you once you began to progress which is great. sorry to hear about the nasty midwife though!

I woke up before 6am today, felt very restless, and shortly after so did DS! Got into bed with him until the heating came on and warmed the house up. Canberra is below freezing every night now. Now sitting drinking tea feeling very tired. Got a busy day but at least I can have a nap later when Ds does. getting my hair cut later which will perk me up!

Mcb insomnia is a huge thing with me I can't seem to be able to sleep and I normally wake up early this has been happening since the beginning! I want to be able to sleep right when my head hits the pillow maybe as of Wednesday I will even though I will have 2 babies to feed and comfort!

I'm sorry that you have a mean midwife, I'm sure if you keep feeding regularly River will get what nutrients she needs... Don't let them push or bully you into using formula; I hope today is a better day and your milk comes in a bit more so feeding is easier on you.

it sucks, I've had it from the very beginning and thought it would go away in the second trimester but still hanging around worst thing is I have been getting headaches due to having such bad sleeps!
sorry you've been getting it too; hope you manage some decent sleep before your babies arrive!

J, Lucy is so gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing pics.

MCB, sorry about the insomnia, it is terrible. Hopefully it doesn't hang around for too long. Hope you get your scan today.

Toni, thanks for sharing your birth story. I love reading these. Im hoping not to push while on my back, but I'll see what happens at the time, and what I prefer. Sorry about your horrible midwife. Mum's need support after having babies, not someone giving them a hard time. I'm sure you are doing a great job. If you think you need to feed River, follow your instincts and feed her.

Nila, sorry the steroid needle stung. Hopefully the next one isn't as bad. Wow Wednesday isn't far away!!

Maybee, yay for reaching your due date. C'mon baby, time for you to arrive for your mumma.

LilPetal, how are you doing? Any sign of bub yet? Hope you enjoyed your birthday.

Bond, bugga about waking up so early, and about your freezing cold nights. I hope you get your nap later. Enjoy getting your hair done.

If someone is on a computer, can they please copy our list across?

Hi to everyone else. Have a great weekend
