Well I have enjoyed my two non-fasting days maybe a tad too much haha, but I have been working out and I'm onto fast day number two tomorrow. I think I will try to only weigh myself 1-2 times a week as I'm guessing it will fluctuate a lot with this kind of diet.

I did notice that after not eating wheat for a little while I really bloated up a lot this afternoon after eating a scroll from the bakery so I might try to limit wheat as well. I have noticed that it has an effect on me before, just in general, but it was really noticeable today.

Not off to a very good start this week. Been eating really bad and way to much. And no exercise so far. Plan to get back on the wagon tomorrow by starting my smoothies again for breakfast.

Sounds like everyone else is going well. Keep up the good work.

I've been thinking about adding some smoothies to my diet as well. I've been doing the diet shakes on and off for months now and I'm a tad over them.

That's fantastic Kimnus! I really need to buy a set of digital scales, the ones I have right now are the old school type and it doesn't tell me weight in grams- I know I've had a loss already this week, but probably not quite a kg..

Carbs and alcohol leave me bloated. I plan to consume as little of those as possible during this challenge- there may be a couple of naughty days as I have some social dates coming up (BBQ's, parties etc..) but I believe we all deserve treats now and then

Yesterday went down hill when my sister came over with pies and connoli? (you know the pastry things with custard in it!). So that was arvo tea and again for dinner
Am limiting my food intake today to make up for it!

Looks like lots of you are heading for a great result at the end of this week. I have school hols starting tomorrow and DH is having a week off. I really want to enjoy some nice treats with the kids eg: fish n chips, and also some nice meals with DH. How am I going to do it without a total blowout? Hmmm... think I will aim for portion control. I am super happy with how far I have come so far, so hope it is okay to take my foot off the peddle for a week or so. Also, I just found out last night we are going to a Ball on Saturday night 3 August. The theme is Great Gatsby. I found a dress on ebay and I made an offer of $30 this morning and it was accepted. I hope it fits and looks okay. Anyway, it will give me something to aim for at the end of this challenge. I might try and post a picture of the dress.

Okay, have never uploaded an image before, but here goes. This is the dress, but this is the photo from ebay as it hasn't arrived yet. Catherine Malandrino (??) silk dress with sequences and floaty material down to mid calf. I hope to go crazy with some beads and head gear and try and style my hair. I wanted to go with the floaty flapper look- I think the dress has floaty sheer sleeves and should be quite sheer across the neck/ bust area. What do you think?

It's gorgeous! I can totally see it, with the right headgear like you said and long beads etc.. what fun! It reminds me of the "Underbelly- razor" series.

Today has been a good day so far, walked to gym and did an hour of cardio. I have completed day 3 of the 30 day squat challenge. Did 60 squats today, some whilst holding a 3 kg medicine ball at the gym. Tomorrow is a rest day for the squat challenge.

Although I have been exercising, I believe that food is the key to weight loss so I am really trying to stick to the low carb plan.

Just wondering those of you that aren't going to a gym (like me can't afford it at the moment) what are you doing as exercise other then walking?

Embarrassingly I don't really do any exercise lol. I don't have a license though so do a lot of walking. I know I should do some real exercise but I would prefer to eat low calorie and not exercise! Occasionally I pull out my step and do a hundred step ups or do some arm exercises but that's rare. Could you grab an exercise DVD?
