Erh..no?! Who would do that?? I do eye-off peoples shopping if they are ahead of me, then I check out the total and give myself a mental pat on the back for not buying lots of crap or any cleaning products when mine is half theirs though Guess that's one of my judgy moments I mentioned in the other thread

I wouldn't comment ever, my husband and I are another debater of how much our shop will be.

I am a closet shop watcher though particularly the healthy ones lol

I would find that incredibly rude.
I never notice how much anyone else spends, none of my business.

Sometimes the check out lady might comment on an item I'm buying but usually only "ohh this is nice" or "where did you find that?" On time I was buying a magazine and the annoying checkout person decided to have a flick thru it and comment on the articles.

I have never paid attention to anyone's grocery bill and if someone ever said anything I'd smile and say, "god, I know! The prices here are ridiculous!" so everyone could share the awkward moment.

That's really rude I would never comment (I probably wouldn't even notice lol). I've never had anyone comment, I don't usually have a big budget though

What ever happened to a good old "F off." Or, if you wanted to be more polite, a quick flip of the bird.....

I'd never comment and its never happened to me.
And I tend to rack u big grocery bills and I look pretty young so I'm sure ppl wonder but nobody has ever said anything.
I do notice what other ppl buy but that's just cos I'm curious and a sticky beak
I like to see what brands ppl buy and wonder what they are cooking.
But I have a marketing degree so I find it hard to switch off that part of me. I'd never say anything out loud.

I'd never comment or give a toss tbh. I do bulk cooking/freezing so I only have to cook a handful of times per month. I go for a big shop up before a big cook up for obvious reasons Anyway, I was wheeling my trolley around the aisles one day when an old man sneered at me and said "I'm glad I don't have to pay for that!". I wish I could say I had a brilliantly witty comeback but I was rendered speechless with shock.
