How old are you? Maybe you could buy it, wait a year, then start ttc?

    Id say go both now.

But when I think about it....

Id probably enjoy focusing on one thing at a time... doing the house thing.... then being able to really enjoy your pregnancy without being so so busy

I'm 30. But I don't want to have kids to late. I want to enjoy them quite young. It turns out it may be possible to do both as it won't change much financially until we move in in about 5 years if we do at all. I might keep it only as investment because return is really good

Id be doing both. We had to make a decision... to save like crazy for a home or have a baby.

Considering a home deposit is atleast 2-3yrs away, we decided on a baby... Which happened first go. Eeek. Change of plans, save as much as possible for a home.. WITH a baby lol

In your situation, Id be buying the home, whilst TTC. Whats the worst that can happen? You have another 35 ish weeks whilst pregnant to settle into your home?

Or... baby making might take a few months and you havent wasted any time either

Both or Baby. I really don't think a house will make you happy until you have kids, or a baby.

For me personally I have been with my fiance since I was 18 in 2006... most of that time we have spent working towards a future that could afford a child and to provide for them. Something that we have learnt along the way, if you try and make it perfect situation to have kids you'll wait forever. We are trying now, we have plans to go to NY for our honeymoon in Sept and we are getting married in August. Don't put anything of, but don't prepare to have kids that can prevent you from having them in the future.

If you can afford it go for it, don't settle if its the house that is perfect and you don't think you'll fin another if can be afforded get it. We had our wedding 2 months ago, are finishing our tender up with builders and start hopefully before spring and are ttc now, 31 next month and don't want to delay anything. We have also saved everything for all 3 in only being back in the country for the last 22 months so have worked our bums off but we know thats what we want and aren't settling for anything or delaying anything either

    Good luck on both fronts

We accidentally jumped head first into both. After unsuccessful assisted TTC we decided to buy the house. We somehow managed to fall pregnant the same weekend we moved in (still in bewilderment on EXACTLY how that happened!). We lost that bub but fell straight away with the one we're now anxiously waiting for, who is due on the first year settlement date anniversary. I'm stressed about finances but we know it'll just happen.
