Default Cubby houses - what kind and how big!

I am looking at getting DS a cubby house for his 3rd birthday in October and the good timber ones aren't cheap ( especially the one I want!) but i do want it to last so what kind of cubby do you have and how often do the kids use it? Any recommendations?
I like the 2 story ones with slide and sand pit underneath

Subbing. I am currently looking for the exact same thing (also for DS1's 3rd Birthday)! I like the look for the elevated cubbies on cubbykraft at the moment.

I cant get over how pricey they seem to be. DP and I were looking a while ago and DP said "we may aswell buy a shed with windows, it would be cheaper and last longer" He did have a point though...

We are making the kids one similar to that for Christmas we are going to buy all the stuff ourselves and make it works out way cheaper and you can get stuff that last forever.

Agreed! But I'm hoping he will use it for at least ten ish years and we have a big yard and pool so all the kids do seem to come to our place all the time so I'm sure they will all love it!

Did you see the other bigger ones they have! The triplex and the mega triplex! If I had more than 1 child and a spare $4000 I'd get those!!

The indoor ones were so cool too. Imagine that on a rainy day!
