    Thanks everyone! I love my cake making but had never attempted anything like that before! So if any one says that I can't be proud of myself can go and you-know-what themselves. :P

    Layer by painstaking layer! Rolled out the fondant, cut it with a cutter (about 3 inch segments at a time), frilled the edges with a bamboo stick, stuck it on with some edible glue, then added some more white fondant to the pile so that the colour faded nicely up through the layers. Then repeat. That's what took the longest out of everything actually...

    I can't make cakes, my daughter has been making her own for a few years. Here is one she made for a friends child. My daughter is 13
