You obviously haven't seen my cakes, they're freaking awesome!!

The last cake I made was a bl00dy masterpiece! Brag brag brag! And don't fret about the children, I stayed up til 6am of the morning of the party to make it. They were soundly asleep.

I have general issues with how extravagant kids birthdays have become, but nope I don't judge.

I would have no idea how to juggle entertaining kids for a few hours as well as any patents that stayed & as for the food! I'm just going to encourage the kids to have venue parties until they're content with a pizza & movie night!

The twins had their 4th birthday party in April. We spent just over $1000 on the party plus presents.
That was for food, decorations, jumping castle, face painting and party bags. We had about 40 guests, it was an awesome day that all enjoyed.
We also had professional giant cupcakes made. Why? Because I'm absolutely crap at decorating. They may taste good but I'd be embarrassed serving something I decorated. I take my hat off to Mum's who make a lot of effort making their children's cakes, I would if I could!

I used to think spending any amount of money on kids parties was silly but then i threw a 2nd birthday party for my son and seeing him have such an amazing time was the best thing ever. While i still have my monetary limits i figure if you have the money and your happy to pay it (and you wont be left unable to pay bills etc) then go for it.

Can i suggest though, making your own party food and cake. This will cut your costs considerably. Check out this website for some food ideas http://www.*******.com.au/best-recip...ty-food+11.htm
There are so many great websites on cake ideas too. Im a chef/cake designer so im happy to give you some tips for the cake...what type are you doing?

Im sure nobody notices the unwashed clothes or unbrushed hair when that cake is around.
