    Default Chronic back pain

    Hi ladies,
Every day all day I have chronic back pain I am only 8+5 days pregnant. My partner has been great with massages in the evening, but my question is.
I have a gp appointment tomorrow is there anything I can request to help ease the pain? Or do I need to put up with it?
Baths and hot showers work wonders but within 10 minutes of getting out the pain returns.

    TIA

Your gp should be able to give you a run down of what u can and can't have. From memory, avoid anything with aspirin and ibuprofen (nurofen) but paracetamol should usually be fine.
It might be a good idea to have a letter from your doc saying you are allowed to have a massage. I booked a massage at 12w but they had to see that letter first.

When I was in pain while pregnant and couldn't take anything, I found hot wheat packs extremely soothing, I could sit down with them in place, and just keep heating them up.

All the best, hope it comes right soon.

It sux dosnt it. I've had back pain since about week 12 but the last three weeks have been so much worse. I only find a hot shower helps for a bit and heat packs but when I'm at work I have neither I've still got awhile with work to go too I'm almost 22 weeks.
