Very sad not to have reported on a BFP in this thread for June. Thank you all for your support and kind words. Best of luck to everyone testing in July. I don't think I'll be there. Perhaps see you in August.

Have had a rough weekend in emotions re: TTC. I guess you hit this point after so many months of trying and failure. What a tough road for so many of us. My birthday is coming up this week and I just feel sad that there is no baby yet, with no feeling of celebration at all. DH said to me last night, I can't wait til there is something growing in your belly, and I cried my eyes out.

Sending love and comfort to all travelling this tough road along side me.
Oh Loved Already - hope the doctor helps to bring on your AF today so that you can test at the end of the month.

I hit the same wall this month. It's hard for us not to get our hopes up each month. I was in a horrid place in my own head (AF had just started) when some good friends of ours told us they were 5 weeks along the other day - and a very much deserved, long-awaited pregnancy. I had to pull myself together very quickly to be happy for them, which I am, I just wish I could join them.

provera - it would probably depend on the doctor whether or not they can prescribe it. I can't see why they would want you to keep going though. How long do your cycles get? If they go to like CD94, I would look further into it. They would have to know a full gyno history and possibly bloods - not sure. My cycles only ever went to about 7 weeks so just waited for AF before starting clomid to bring them back down. Usually/generally ovulating beyond CD26 the odds of the egg being appealing to the sperm or being viable are not as good, though many women have been lucky.

Every other cycle has been around 32 days, so not overly long. Then this cycle, AF just packed up a left the building.
I'll let you know how I get on with the doctor. Thanks so much for your help. You have given me a positive outlook

I feel for you Loved Already, it sucks waiting and waiting with long cycles! I had hoped that by cycle day 36 I would either have a positive pg test or a period... but today at cycle day 38 (having skipped all of June) I have neither - just a stack of bfn pg tests.
I have been having weekly blood tests this month though to measure progesterone levels, hopefully next week I can go to the doc and find out whether I'm actually ovulating, and if not will move on to a fs to see what the next step is.

I use to hate my long cycle, then I went on clomid and got the ovidril shots and bam 28 day cycles. Always an option if you are willing to give it a go and see a fs.

GP didn't suggest Provera to bring on AF this time, instead said wait it out this time and wrote a referal to a Fertility Specialist - told me he would most probably initiate Provera/Clomid then.

I was surprised because we have been TTC for 7 months, and I am 27 - thought I would have had to have been TTC beyond 12 months for that to happen. I am looking forward to the FS appointment though, it feels empowering taking action!

Thanks ladies for reassuring me and giving me some background info today so that I knew what to talk about.

I think it depends if there are known issues or not and what the issues are on if they will refer you earlier. I was 29 but got a referral after 6 months because of pcos.

Best of luck with the fs, I agree that its a good feeling knowing you are taking positive action.
