    Congratulations Starfish! Gorgeous BFP!!!

Daenearys - Try not to stress. Your DR sounds amazing!! If it helps, i was reading up on HCG and early HPTs last cycle after getting 2 faint pos on 2 different tests!! And apparently, in the early days, the hcg can flucuate a little bit, so you may have caught it at a peak when you tested. It takes around 48hrs for a "viable" pregnancy hcg to double, and early on the levels are quite low initially.
Also, the strength of the dye colour in each test may be slightly different, which early on would affect the strength of the line. FX you have a sticky bubba in there growing away nicely!! Hopefully tomorrows test will be darker as its had those couple of days to increase.

Just wanted to jump in & mention about blood tests before ttc. I see it was discussed a few pages back, I know Wobbler mentioned it.
I think they are something that should be done.
I actually went to my gp for a pre-conception checkup. I had bloods, blood pressure taken, Pap smear & chlamydia (as standard w/pap).

Pre ttc/falling pg blood tests are a good idea because they'll highlight any deficiencies you might have that may hinder actually getting pregnant. I was found to be slightly deficient in Iron & Vit D (both of which I now take as the mg in Elevit wasn't sufficient).
They'll also check your rubella immunity, because if its low they'll give you the jab & then recommend you don't ttc for 3 months.
If you get Rubella when pregnant it can be very detrimental to unborn bubs.

Also for me, it was good to start the ttc journey knowing (on paper) I was healthy and taking any extra bits etc i needed to.

If you want them & your gp is being an idiot about it, push for them. It's really no skin off their noses! They've only got to print the form off - easy as!

Also (and sorry for rambling lol) bit if you have bloods done & fall pg pretty soon after, that steps already done! You're ahead I the game! Woo!

Just my opinion & what I did

I had my bloods done this week and the nurse said they will still do them again when you actually conceive.

Wow congrats to all those with BFPs yay!!! Hopefully the rest of us left gets to be blessed with two lines too

Well I'm now 9dpo and hanging to test!! I must say this month has gone a lot quicker than the last one. I think it has a lot to do with taking a more relaxed approach this month. Hopefully will get a nice BFP in the next few days

    Hi there
Yep it was me that mentioned it a few pages ago, it did make me feel much more prepared. I'm overweight, so was worried it might hinder my efforts, but the doctor checked blood sugar, cholesterol, etc etc and it was 'outstanding'. Not that I'm happy at my weight, but it's good to know, as people see me and wouldn't think my levels are so good

Got bfp on Wednesday, so it's funny to think I was officially 'pregnant' while getting my pre pregnancy blood test!!
