Don't they hit a growth spurt not long afterr birth which makes their feeding cycle go nuts?

Total bliss this morning my other half has an rdo today so hegot the baby to me in bed for a midnight feed and put him to bed then beat me to get him for his 4:30 scream. He was dead to the world before the end of the feed

Now its 6am and I feel pumped!

Speaking of pumped is anyone using a pump? I'm leaking so much the nurse recommended expressing. Anyone else?

I found information on wonder weeks helpful to understanding her fussy times. I think you are right Bamca, your bubba may be having a growth spurt or a 'learning spurt' and contrary to this article and watching my older kids go through growing pains, I still think growth spurts cause fussy babies. I have also done some interesting researched that when your baby feeds more often, they are stimulating your nipples (obviously) but the amount of milk does not increase but the consistency and balance of fore milk and hind milk actually changes by how baby sucks and how often your baby stimulates your nipples while feeding.

Bamca glad you got great sleep. Makes everything feel so much easier huh. I have just picked up a pump to do some expressing. I wanted to have a supply in the freezer so i can go to gym or pool without stressing that she will need a feed. Can also have a couple of drinks at christmas

Qlou hugs hun. Hoping bub settles soon how old is bub now?

Torie thats a busy life! I cant imagine having DD and other children! Make sure you dont get more overloaded I know this is easy at christmas time!

Hope everyone else is ok. Do we have anyone still waiting?

AFM All going well. DD is nearly 6weeks! Settling into a routine and getting used go being out. Have first injections Monday i am a bit scared!

Hi everyone! Been a while, have still been poking my head in occasionally. Busy trying to get ready for Xmas, don't think I will have any time after our girl arrives. Thanks for all your tips on telling our older daughter about going to hospital. We were just going to tell her mummy and daddy going to get the baby out of mummies tummy. She is super excited about staying at grandma and grandpa's for a couple of nights too. I'm due Sunday, was kind of expecting her to be here been having alot more Braxton hicks than Dd but she has other ideas. She just waiting now.... Hope everyone is well and enjoying cuddles
