Hope you are all enjoying the silly season!
I'm really enjoying Christmas this year! First Xmas with my little fella, it is really nice. Im really enjoying my little family, i feel so blessed.

Bub is 2 month old now! Wow time is flying by! We are starting to get in a routine now which is nice. Bub sleeps for 4 hrs, then 3 hr blocks. So Im feeling more alive! And I have been getting out & about more.

    How's every-one doing?

It's amazing Qloulou! Loving my little miss so much and the magic of Christmas is back now we have a child that will believe in Santa again. I found some awesome rattles for her for Xmas that go around her wrists and feet and its so exciting to give them to her as I know she is going to laugh at them. Flea has started laughing now as well as her big big toothless grins which are incredibly beautiful. I love her so much!

    On the down side though......

Feeling completely exhausted though because the only break I get from her is to work or go to TAFE. I do everything else most the time, plus all the night time get ups etc. Except hubby and kids do most the washing and most the cooking. There is at least three appointments every day too at the moment such as uniform fittings, kids hair cuts, information night for high school, end of year performances for jazz choir, wood wind band, hub band, Christmas concert, sports assembly where recognition goes to us for coaching the cricket team, sports presentations, graduation night from Primary School last night, drop off to here, pick up from there, get this for that etc and the list goes on and on! And at the moment there's endless shopping for weekly food, Christmas and my sisters wedding on the 21/12/13 at Port Hughes. Then there are all the Dr's appointments lol. My BP is low 80/60 and I've started fainting again I'm still bleeding post birth (7.5 weeks now) and having abdominal cramping from time to time and having physio again through the hospital as I can not lay on my sides for more than an hour without pain.

I have to start taking better care of myself as no one else will nor should I expect them to. I don't get to eat 3 meals a day or drink my 3L of water and I'm breastfeeding but that is my responsibility. I Can not remember my last nap I had being pushed and pulled in every direction BUT I AM INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL TO HAVE MY GORGEOUS BABY GIRL. I love her so so so much and can not imagine a day without her now.

I'm not suffering any depression yet which is good because I got terrible post natal depression after my sons were born (but not my daughters). Feeling a bit body conscious though with my jelly belly and grey maternity bras smelling like off milk and vomit, terrible hair and regrowth, hairy legs etc which is probably because of DJ work where hubby is around all those gorgeous done up 25+ year olds and even I had to DJ on Saturday night by myself because he double booked.

Sorry for the me me me post girls but its lovely to vent somewhere safe and non judgmental and to be honest with myself instead of saying yep, I'm fine all the time lol.

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying some peace and relaxation with bubs and not being stupid like me burning the candle at both ends! Happy Wednesday

Wow torie, your post is making me tired! You need to rest & look after yourself too! Think of it as taking care of your kids mumma because they need you. So you need to look after yourself. Why are you back at work already? Do you need to be? Vent away if helps!

    Take care Xxx

My little one alternates. I find my energy levels are ok if I only have to get up twice to him from 11-6 but add another one in and its a struggle to get out of bed! I'm still breastfeeding so cant pass on a night feed to the other half but he is fantastic with the baby.

Poor little man has such bad wind pain which wakes him up and he screams the house down whenever you change him-he hates the wipes!!

Still waiting to hear from the maternal health nurse for his first visit.

    Still wouldn't trade him though

Hi Qloulou, I am back at work to pay for Christmas! we have had too many extra expenses and nothing has gone right financially with hubby not working for 3 or 4 months. We are self employed too.

I'm hearing ya Bamca, I bought some infacol for Felicity to help with her wind. I am Breast feeding too so there is no skipping feeds to rest here either. Its hard work being a baby mumma but it does get easier (from memory which is a bit scattered at the moment lol) You are doing excellent. We all are!

I'm also having lots of restless nights with my bub. I'm breast feeding. When does it get better? He was starting to sleep for a 4 block then 3 & 3. Now 2hr blocks all night. It's crazy & Im feeling pretty crappy!
