I love both Victoria and Adelaide, but I love old-fashioned names in general. It's nothing geographical!

When I hear these names I never even think of town/state.

I would only use a name like that if the place had some form of personal significance.

I think Adelaide is quite a lovely name. I do think of the city Adelaide when I hear it though, and the fact that I have never visited Adelaide means I wouldn't feel right using it.

When I hear the name Victoria for a person, I think of it as a name, I don't automatically think of the state.

I have a niece called Adelaide, and I think it's beautiful (we're not in Adelaide though). Darwin is a surname, and I don't really like surnames for first names.

I would have no problem using them if I liked them.
We have Adelaide on our list but I just think of it as an older name rather than the state

I love them as names, but not because they are Australian, and No, I don't think that they would get teased.

If I isn't live in that area yes. I actually like Adelaide as a name. Plus you always here Victoria and Sydney and I'm sure no ones first instinct or thought was they were named after a place

    Adelaide and Darwin, No.
Sydney, maybe...well I personally wouldnt use it but its not the worst name going around.
Victoria is fine though...I personally think of it being an old fashioned name instead of thinking of the place.
