Default SAHM With new business, need some input...

    Hi all.
Am starting a new boys & girls Facebook business selling kids clothes & accessories. I have them online now but just need more people to have a look & like :-)

Just wanting to get some info on what other mums are looking for ( in terms of goods/value) & what makes u like a page.

Also what ways do u recommend to spread the word about your business? I would like to reach other mums so they can see what I offer on my pages. Any thoughts appreciated??

    Thanks xxx

I think if you sell something original then the battle is half won. I know 5 different Facebook businesses that sell the exact same clothes they source from China, re-label and put on a 300% mark up and sell them as 'boutique' - and people fall for that!! There is a big Chinese website that you can buy these children's clothes in bulk for next to nothing - because they are rubbish!
So, to answer your question, I would be looking for something well made and original, that hadn't been imported to make a quick buck.

    I completely agree with this.

As for getting more likers, have a X number of likers giveaway where the person who has referred the most likers wins something. You can also do photo share giveaways.

Thanks for the input. Yes I am selling boys & girls clothing. Some are imported & some sourced locally. I pride myself on offering reasonable prices & an interesting range.

I agree that you do have to be somewhat different & also competitions are a great way to get your name out there.

Have you tried Pinterest. You can open a business account and post your own items + other things that are of interest to get some followers. I think it has helped my business.

As someone that buys a lot online, I agree 100%. There is a glut of FB businesses selling the same cute, but poorly made kids outfits from Asia. The worst ones are the ones that don't actually have any stock, have you pay them, then buy it off ebay for half the price and you wait 3-4 weeks for it by the time ebay send to the seller, then the seller to you. Why would I pay double the price and wait double the time when I can just buy it directly from ebay? lol

So make your stuff original OP. Handmade or at least quality.
