Most people got slaughtered in the last budget, I know my family was it hard by it. It may look good on the surface but we as tax payers have to pay off the debt they created.
We pay thorough the roof for everything and one of a few countries to be taxed twice through income tax and GST and now they are talking about scrapping Medicare to help reduce this budget deficit. They took away medical rebates for children in hospital and many parents have to pay out of pocket for life saving medications. I remember what it was like before this government came in and certainly know its not better now.
Howard brought in GST!! After promising not to!!

I'm thinking a need a couple of wines for it to make sense. Might give it another read tonight after a glass of red.

I'm just going to post this, because I think that some people on here think sexism means something different than it is.

sex·ism/ˈsɛksɪzəm/ Show Spelled [sek-siz-uhm] Show IPA
    noun
    1. attitudes or behavior based on traditional stereotypes of sexual roles.
    2. discrimination or devaluation based on a person's sex, as in restricted job opportunities; especially, such discrimination directed against women.

People cry very convincingly on tv every day. Do u believe all those actors or because u know its a tv show drama u know its not real?
This is why I don't get into political debates. People get caught up in the fairy floss and miss the major points. That's what GJ is relying on to win the next election. Her and the Labour Party screwed things up majorly but as desperate to stay in power. Their policies and proof in the pudding won't win but people forgetting about that and thinking she is a nice person and TA not being a nice person is what she is banking on. Oh boy.
Did you actually read this link?

I would love to know why you think we are going down the toilet!

Australia has record low interest rates, low unemployment, no recession during gfc, etc. etc. I fail to see how we are heading down the toilet.
