Yeah but she's not pretty and she doesn't have a husband :P

She's also atheist which we all know means you are devoid of morals and ethics.

And no it has absolutely nothing to do with her being a woman or her 'femininity' and if u read it that way ur caught up on people not liking her for being a woman in politics. People get stuck on that and forget about that actual politics. That's even more annoying. U can't say anything negative because ur having a go at her being a woman in politics. Wtf?
People don't like her because they have no idea who she is.
Her outward appearance is so fake. Male or female give the people something real.

But again its all about the fairy floss and not the actual politics. Man or woman running the country doesn't matter just Focus on running the actual country. Even her party didn't like her sexist comments about men in blue ties. Why doesn't she have to come out and apologise? Why is it ok for her to be sexist?

Lol. What do you find sexist about her comments about "men in blue ties"? Do you actually know what she means?!

Change the pronouns and you have described most politicians in our current political climate.

Until recently liberal were in power for a very long time under the Howard government. That government worked very hard to put our country in the position it was. It also had a nice surplus in its budget. This labour government has now put a big whole in our budget and a big mess to clean up.
Most people got slaughtered in the last budget, I know my family was it hard by it. It may look good on the surface but we as tax payers have to pay off the debt they created.
We pay thorough the roof for everything and one of a few countries to be taxed twice through income tax and GST and now they are talking about scrapping Medicare to help reduce this budget deficit. They took away medical rebates for children in hospital and many parents have to pay out of pocket for life saving medications. I remember what it was like before this government came in and certainly know its not better now.

If you had outlined what you disagree with her on policy wise, then the thought she was a woman and you were criticising her based on that wouldn't have even entered my mind.

I see a lot of hate of Gillard, but little about why. As I said, I dislike Tony bc of the beliefs and values he's espouses, not bc he has brown hair or he talks funny which has been said of Julia.

I actually think the Libs have been very successful in convincing the every day aussie that she stinks... just bc she does. There are some thoughtful libs voters on the forum that have explained they don't agree with her carbon tax, or the BB and the reasons why. I can respect that. But many of the Julia haters don't seem to really have any substance to why they don't like her

But I'm bowing out this conversation isn't about actual politics. Might as well be discussing days of our lives.

Are you not reading any of the posts directed at you??
JG- you say she is "fake" yet complain she isn't a good actor. You say emotions aren't important, but complain her face is devoid of them. You complain that she goes back on everything she says but provide no examples. You claim the country is going down the toilet, despite a strong economy, optimal interest rates and inflation, low unemployment etc and won't explain what you mean. You've been provided information about the unprecedented sexist harassment JG has been subjected to but you ignore this instead saying SHE is sexist for discussing a very real possibility of an all male govt who will not look after women's interests.
TA- you say he is "a knob" and says stupid things but that's ok because these are his "honest" (stupid) thoughts.

You complain about fairy floss but you have not said anything about actual politics???
