Specials I tells you, also if you don't already I recommend the 4 ingredients books there's some yummy cheap recipies in those books!
Sit down work your meals on specials, cook double the amount and freeze a portion, if you have one near you a wholesale butcher buy in bulk separate and freeze. Keep in mnd we don't need to sit down to meat every night either, you might find you can make non meat meals a few night of the week and it will lower your bill substantially

I found I cut my spending back when I started shopping on line! You get to review it at the end and there is a chance to delete the non necessary things to keep under budget... There is also no impulse buys!

Between 200 and 250 p/f if I need to stock up on staples. If not its easilly 150 p/f or less, usually way less, for four adults.

Meal plan a lot, shop at fruit and veggie markets, etc. The 150 is me buying things we want not need. If I stuck to needs it would be closer to 75-100 p/f.

Between $150 -$200 a week. 2 adults and 2 kids, cat, dog and 2 birds. I try to meal plan and buy specials. That normally allows me enough to buy needs and some wants.

How? How do you go a whole week with just buying bread and milk?

What about fruit and vegetables? And other fresh things? Do you use frozen veggies? What about your fruit?
