Today was CD11 with scan at FS. Round 3 of clomid & an interesting turn of events - I've got two follicles one on each side. FS has suggested doing IUI this round and possibly trigger shot again to increase chance rather than timed BDing.

Has anyone done an IUI and what's the success rate like? My other question is how much can be claimed back on medicare if any? Its definetly not cheap.

    Wow that's exciting!!

We looked into IUI, it was going to cost us roughly $1500 upfront and $900 out of pocket for everything. If you have gone over your Medicare limit (which we obviously hadn't) then you get heaps more back, 80% I believe. So if you had to do it again it would be much cheaper the second time.

We've done 4 IUI now, not sure on the success rate. At Wesley Monash an IUI cycle costs me in total $960 + drugs (FS cycle fee of $825 inc consults, US & IUI + Lab charge for semen prep $135) & Medicare give me back $660, I'm over safety net. Clomid was free, 1 Ovidrel free & 1 Ovidrel $50 after private health rebate. So total out of pocket $350.

Damn wish I checked this earlier. Used fmu and had a similar result. Will get some more tests and try again tomorrow. Not exactly sure when I ovulated so I may be either 13dpo or 9 dpo.
