He got the name wrong though, so unless she changed it, he has the wrong girl.

I actually thought it may have been one of the neighbours! It's an extremely 'neighbourly' building, the woman in question is the only person on our floor that I don't know very well at all. We often have neighbours knocking on the door, I thought it could have been one of the other mums after some panadol or nappies or something, or the elderly couple upstairs with a little present for DS (every time they go to Aldi they buy him a toy, lol)

Omg!!! I would be freaking out.. I would report it to police... There could be similar things happening in your area & it could be a lure for men to get into homes. I would definitely mention it to police. But omg how creepy!

I would also tell your neighbor... Just to give her a heads up!

You definitely did the right thing by being cagey. Better safe than sorry.

I think tell her - in person or a note.

There's no telling why he doesn't know for sure where she lives so better to err on the side of caution and leave the 'reveal' up to her.

    How scary for you!

I would definitely tell her. It could have been a case of mistaken identity, but atleast she can be more aware about who she opens the door to.

If you have a building manager, I would be telling them too as it could have been someone casing out the place and they may have had similar complaints.

That's fairly up there on the creep scale I reckon. And given that I'm home alone several nights this week (for the first time with DS), it has creeped me out somewhat. I think you need to tell your neighbour, not in a note but in person. The time he knocked is odd, what he asked is odd, it's all odd. Good job in your handling of it FL!
