I read your spelling as Meeka.

I know a little boy called Micah, pronounced mike-ah or my-car.

I think it works as a girls name, but would stick with the traditional spelling, otherwise you will always be correcting people.

I love the name Micah and would have loved to use it myself, but my cousin got in first. However I would have used it for a boy's name.
When I first saw the name in the topic thread though I thought and read it as Mieke the Dutch girl's name (pronounced Mee keh or close enough for spelling it phonetically) so agree that if you are going to be wanting it pronounced Micah best to have it spelled that way or she will be correcting people. I also do like the name Mieke.

I'm not sure the spelling really works.
It's awfully "busy" with the spelling and then the hyphen.
Could you have just the one first name and then sage as the middle name?
    I either go Mieke (mee-ka)
    Or Micah (my-car)

I read it as mee-ka too. I'd stick with the proper spelling.

I read it as my-ee-kah for some reason. Not keen on the spelling at all. Micah is lovely though.

I've only ever known that name as a female name. It's a beautiful Dutch (fresian) name pronounced the same (Mycah) but spelt as 'Meike' as the 'e' on the end is pronounced as an 'a'.

I agree. Meike is the name of my obstetrician I had during pregnancy, she's a lovely lady

I had a friend (girl) called Maaike. It was Dutch (I think?!). But pronounced Micah.
