I'm new here. From Brisbane, Queensland. Just started trying at the start of the year. I'm 37 years old, so just a tad late in the game lol My husband and I are keen for a baby. It would seem it is going to be harder than I expected.
In 2004 I had surgery to remove cysts from an ovary, and they found lots of endo. I went into denial and ended up throwing myself into my work. Fast forward the end of last year, and I took myself off the pill after being on it for 20+ years. Had a veryyyy late AF turn up this week, before that I thought I might have been pregnant. So had the blood test, which came back negative of course. The GP recommended an ultrasound, which found that I have a cyst back in one of my ovaries.....so now we are going to be recommended to a gynae who can be both the support for us getting pregnant (if there are infertility issues), and to see us through the pregnancy. We need to decide on a location for where we would like to have our baby when we fall pregnant, so we can choose a gynae who services that particular hospital.
Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all!
