    Lead by example.
    We got one of those spill proof cups. Filled it with cooled-down-boiled-water and while holding him or in the sling, I'd take a big swig from it and go "ahhhh" then offer the cup to him.

    I'd been doing the same with fruit that I was eating, take a bite then offer it to him and he'd gum it... copying mummy.
