    Default Introducing water... How???

Hi DD is 7.5 months and I can't get her to drink water. What age did your bub start drinking water and what's the bottle / cup to use? Didn't want to use another in case it confused her.
    Cheers

At 6 months I just started putting a sippy cup on his high chair tray whenever he had food, he preferred the straw sippy cups - tommee tippee - get one with handles so its easier to pick up!

I always have a water bottle that I drank from so he always saw that and would steal it !

We unsuccessfully tried many types of cups and bottles. Then tried a straw bottle (tommee tippee) and he loved it. Took him watching me do it a couple of times to work it out but then loved drinking from it. He was 10 months by the time we got to this point though...

DD uses a sippy cup, as it closely resembles a take away coffee cup. She is always trying to grab mine! I ended up taking the valve out so it free pours as she wasn't getting the suck action.

I introduced it at 6 months (same time as solids) with both of my boys.

For my 8mo, I just use a small sippy cup with handles and a small spout. Initially, I had to hold it up for him, as it was a bit difficult for him to pick up.

I used a straw one for my eldest, and that seemed easier, then the spout as they don't have to pick it up and get the angle right.

I only offer water with meals at the moment.

DD loves the Nuby straw drink bottles. Taught her to use a straw drinking from little poppers first as the no leak value in the drink bottles is harder to use.

I have seen them at Coles and various pharmacies too. Good luck. 🍀
