I love Lila. Not much of a fan of Van especially with your last name.

As someone who has a first name for a last name (lucky for us girls it doesn't matter but for the boys it does) I have learned to disregard all previous thoughts on first name and surname sounds and just go with what I like. No matter what the boys in my family will be called by the surname by some fool who doesn't know how to read and it would work the same for Van Koch, they both have a "surname" ring to them. We also did something similar to you, placing a middle name that was completely different in the middle to break them up (more important when you have all first names though)
I actually think they go well together though (despite the fact that an Eagles player just named his youngest son this which should make me cringe). I do not like the name Van, but still think Van Koch "Kosh" has something to it.
I do really like the name Lila. I think it is just beautiful. Sorry but I do have to agree with the others about Lila Sondra Koch not quite ringing well with me either, but the middle names are for you and for telling the children off in true parenting style! So what does it matter?

This is my immediate reaction too - it very much sounds like a surname rather than a full name.

    The girls name is lovely.

I think the girls names lovely

The boy name not so much though I think if the first and middle name were switched I'd love it. Ie Geoffrey Van Koch

Van and Lila- very nice choices

As for the middle names, they have meaning to you personally, so keep them as they are. They sound fine. I don't really see the big issue with middle names being "wrong", as they are hardly ever used anyway, more of a formal thing, IMO. I wouldn't pick at a middle name unless ofcourse it was something like Jenny Penny
Van is really cute! Lila is pretty

I think middle names are important, I was teased endlessly at school for my middle name, anyone I met after I left school I use to tell them I didn't have one - it is a family name but that didn't make it any easier.
