    Unhappy feeling overwhelmed and sad

Im feeling very overwhelmed and sad atm with my pregnancy. I have a history of depression and feel it coming back now but I think I'm feeling this way because this pregnancy I'm alone unlike my previous two I was in a relationship and the father was around. But this time I am single and all alone. It was a rebound fling at a very vunerable time for me as It was just about 8 mnths after a 12 yr relationship break up. I made the decision to deal with the consequences of my actions and decided to keep the baby. When i made this decision i was happy but now my feelings have recently changed as im left to do this on my own and Im just feeling stupid and very alone for putting myself in this situation. I am sad that the fathers isnt going to be around and having a baby to someone im not in a relationship with. I know things happen and nothings perfect but im constantly worried about what others are thinking of me and my situation and i hate that. My other concern is how am i going to cope when shes here because for the past 6 mnths ive been nursing a broken foot and have had to rely on my family to do things for me which i feel has made me lazy. but i cant be lazy when baby is here. im just hoping i will be able to cope. one positive is that i should be able to walk before she arrives but just the whole getting back into a routine and running a household again with three kids i feel like i wont be able to do it. I will use all of my support networks im just feeling like the future is going to be bleak where as i want to enjoy being a mum again and look forward to a new start with my three babies

Sorry, I haven't really gotten anything helpful to say, just that I've suffered depression for years, and I can empathise with how you are feeling. Do you think booking in to see a counseller may help to sort through your feeling, and get some stuff off your chest? You can get free visits through your GP.
    Take care.

I too second visiting your GP and talking with a counsellor- definitely get your feelings sorted before bubs comes as like you said you have a history of depression, and dealing with 3 kids alone is very tough and you need to be at the top of your game.

    Good luck

I am currently in the process of looking for counselling. The only thing is its not as quick and easy to get into. So i have got my social worker to send a referral to hopefully speed up the process. Im just waiting on a call from them today. Hopefully it will be good news.
