Pack both!! DS went straight into 000 when he was born (4.48kg) and ended up leaving in 0000's due to his weight loss, at just under 4kg.

I think we will have to pack a few of each and see what fits. The hospital asks us to bring atleast 6 onesies...i think because we are there for 4 days.

I've got no idea if the hospital will be providing them or not. I've bought 0000 and 0000 ones so will take those to the hospital.

Yea take a bit of both!

RBWH didn't supply clothes. Only blankets. Their blankets were good because they are kept in a warmer!

We packed only 4x0 and bub came out at 2.76kg (much to everybody's surprise! Everyone estimated she'd be a whopper) and the 4x0 swamp her. We've bought a few 5x0 because I don't think she'll be in them for long. I think 4x0 it's good for the majority of babies, though!

I am only packing 0000/NB. I think its relatively common for them to lose some weight after birth.

My first baby was 4.06kgs/52cm long at birth & wore 0000 for about 5-6 weeks.

I took both... I was the same.. I thought the 0000 was going to be too small... Cause they look so incredibly tiny. But my son is a month old & only just growing out of his 0000. I had to go out & buy more cause I had only bought a couple of things thinking he would be too big for them!

Yeps all you need is a vom or a sneaky wee halfway through a nappy change and there goes the onesie!
