    Default Robot vacuum cleaners

Has anyone got one of these? There's one on living social that I'm thinking about getting... Are these practical or are they useless if you've got any junk on the floor?

    Thanks!

We have a Roboking and love it. Of course the floors need to be clear of rubbish to work efficiently (same as any vacuum).

The model we have is pretty quiet in comparison to alot of others, but you still couldn't run it overnight. We also got one that didn't need the virtual walls, it just works its way around the house and goes back to the dock to recharge twice during the entire process.

I run ours daily and then use the big vacuum one a week.

What is the suction like on them Rarygirl?

Edit- why do you still vacuum once a week? Is it because of low suction, or because they miss spots? Or another reason?

I just feel carpets require a deeper clean ... iykwim. It picks all the pet hair/dust up off the tiles and dust off the carpets, but when I use the Dyson on the carpets/mats it always picks up alot more.

If I only had tiles/hard floors I don't think I'd need to use another vacuum.

Hmm. Sounds like we'll have to pick our next rental based on the floors so I can get away without vacuuming!

Where does all the dust ect go? Do you need to empty it a lot as it doesn't look like it could hold much?

I empty it after it has finished the full house clean. The dustbin is full but it isn't packed in ... but I run it everyday, hopefully trying to reduce the dust in the house.
